Sometimes, your skin needs a little extra boost; it could be down to perimenopause changes, sudden dry patches, or maybe you've got a big event in the diary and want to feel your best. Booster oils are trendy in the skincare world, but what exactly are they, and how do you use them? This blog will help you understand this skincare trend and show you ten ways to enjoy Pamoja's Restore Radiance Booster oil in your skincare routine for a quick and effective boost.
Skincare boosters: what do they do?
Boosters are concentrated formulas designed to be slotted into your existing skincare routine to target specific skin needs, e.g. dry skin, pigmentation or dehydration.
Why you need a booster oil in your 40s
As we age, our skin needs change, especially during perimenopause, when erratic hormone changes can trigger moisture loss, dryness, and a loss of vitality in the skin. Your 40s can also be a busy and stressful time when we can often feel invisible and forget to look after ourselves. Yet we deserve to feel good, be confident and feel proud of the skin we are in.
Key benefits of adding a booster oil into your skincare routine:
Skin results: the majority of us will not be able to get the results we need from the skincare routine we had in our 20s or even 30s can help support a healthy skin barrier by providing additional moisture, nutrients, and antioxidants to dry, dull, and sensitive skin.
Daily self-care: using a booster oil during times of transition, such as at the end of a long day or during seasonal changes, can provide a moment of calm, relaxation and self-care that can ground you helping to ease tension.
The Restore Radiance Booster from Pamoja is an excellent and easy addition to your skincare routine. It is versatile, quick, and easy to use, making it a must-have item for your bathroom cabinet, travel bag, desk, or bedside table.
To help you make the most out of the product, here are ten effortless ways to use the Restore Radiance Booster.
π± As a nourishing face oil:
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to moisturise your skin? Restore is a nourishing face oil made with ethically harvested and cold-pressed Kahai Oil. Just pat 1-2 drops onto freshly cleansed skin as an alternative to your usual moisturiser on busy days. This Colombian plant oil is packed with vitamins A and E and is clinically proven to boost collagen production and smooth lines.
π± As a post-shower restorative treatment for dry legs:
If you're looking for a way to tackle dry, flaky skin on your legs, add a few drops of Restore to your body lotion. The olive squalane in this oil acts as a natural emollient, promoting softer and more hydrated skin.
π± To soothe tension while working from home:
If you're feeling tense after a long day of work, try warming up 3-4 drops of Restore in your palms and giving yourself a quick neck and shoulder massage. The calming aroma of essential oils, including bergamot, will help ease tension and give you a few moments of relaxation.
π± To boost a face mask:
Enhance your face mask by adding a few drops of Restore, rich in Organic Pomegranate CO2 and rich in rare punicic acid (omega 5). This will help with elasticity by maintaining your skin's moisture levels and providing antioxidant power while boosting the effects of your mask.
π± To massage the face:
Apply 4-5 drops after your moisturiser for a relaxing face massage as the last step in your skincare routine. The Geranium Bourbon and Ylang Ylang essential oils will help balance your skin and elevate your mood. Massaging your face will provide your skin with nutrients, restore its protective barrier, and increase circulation, giving you a healthy glow. π±To nourish dry elbows:
If you need to nourish dry elbows, massage a few drops of Restore into your skin after a bath or shower while skin is still damp. Organic Sea Buckthorn CO2 is rich in rare Omega 7 and rejuvenates dry and damaged skin. This is especially helpful after winter, when elbows tend to become dry.
π±To rejuvenate rough hands:
Apply a few drops of my product to each hand. The formula contains Arctic Blackcurrant CO2, rich in rare gamma-linolenic acid that helps soothe the skin, retain moisture after washing, and keep your hands well-hydrated. It's perfect for nourishing dry skin. If you have the time, apply a hand scrub first, work the scrub into dry patches and between the fingers, rinse off, pat dry and then apply Restore.
π± As a nail and cuticle treatment:
Here's a tip for nail and cuticle maintenance: massage a few drops of Restore onto dry or damaged cuticles to nourish and promote healthy nail growth. This lightweight oil is easily absorbed and won't leave any greasy residue.
π± To smooth brittle hair:β
If you have brittle hair, try applying a few drops of Restore to the ends and leaving it on for 10 minutes before washing it. Alternatively, you can leave it overnight for a more nourishing treatment. My product contains organic Sacha Inchi oil, which is rich in omega 3 and 6 and can help soothe itchy scalps, soften hair, and reduce breakage. I like to mix it with cold-pressed baobab oil and leave it in since my hair tends to be dry. You can experiment with the amount depending on your hair's texture.
π± Make a DIY scrub:
Here's how to make a DIY scrub: mix 6-8 drops of Sandalwood essential oil with half a teaspoon of sugar to create a paste. Rub the paste onto your elbows or knees, rinse with warm water, pat dry, and apply 3-4 more drops of Sandalwood oil while your skin is still damp to lock in moisture. Sandalwood oil is great for dry skin because it soothes and softens it. In addition, it's very therapeutic and can help strengthen your skin, especially during the winter months.
