Pamoja is a Swahili word which means ‘together’ – inspired by my Tanzanian heritage.
Hi, I'm Sarah. I’m a busy mum and certified natural skincare formulator, and I founded Pamoja to help multitasking women to care for their skin. I know your time is precious and you want to live your life, doing what you love.
So, my passion is to help you achieve happy, healthy glowing skin with a simple daily ritual that is effective, effortless and luxurious. A moment of calm at the end of a long day.
If that resonates with you, you're in the right place!
Skincare is my craft. During a career break as a full-time mum, I experienced severe skin sensitivities and dermatitis. Patch tests revealed skin allergies, so I set out on a journey to understand what I was putting on my skin. I discovered confusing and 'hard to read' product labels so; I began to make skincare as part of an holistic approach to caring for myself. I found a solution in natural, organic ingredients that restored and revitalised my skin. Friends and family fell in love with my products, and the seed of an idea was sown. Training with an accredited School of Organic Cosmetic Science helped me to turn a dream of having my own business into a reality, making award-winning clean and conscious skincare in my lab in the UK.
I help you by doing the homework for you, so that you can make easy, sustainable choices and live a more conscious lifestyle.
Like you I am increasingly aware of our impact on the planet. That’s why I've sourced sustainable packaging and the very best quality clean, ethically sourced botanicals that nourish and feed your skin with vitamins and essential fatty acids. I’ve also sourced science-backed actives proven to soothe, hydrate, repair and protect all skin types but especially dry, sensitive and allergy-prone skin. Pamoja is also cruelty-free, vegan, palm oil-free and free from declarable food allergens.
When I'm not working, I love live music, podcasts and books, cooking and messing about with my family in the woods and coastline of the beautiful North East of England.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
